Eric Hartmann flew constantly from August 1942 until the end of the war, his 352 victories were achieved with JG52 apart from one during a temporary assignment to command JG53. Remarkable during his career Hartmann was brough down 16 times, eight of which were due to hitting debris of his victims due to his tactic of getting in very close to his adversaries.
