"Birth of a Legend" is the last in the Hartmann Trilogy series by Robert Taylor. Erich Hartmann’s scores his first victory in an Me109 of JG-52 against a Russian IL-2. Hit by debris from the IL-2 Erich Hartmann crash lands losing his Me109. This was the first of an incredible 352 victories scored by Eric Hartmann.
