"The Long Short Days" depicts a group of Luftwaffe Bf109G's from III./JG26 a famous Western Front fighter unit, returning to their base after a sweep along the Channel coast. The 109's against a backdrop of a beautiful sunset on a calm evening over Northern France following the tension of a patrol along the Channel coast. 

The print is signed by nine Luftwaffe Aces who all flew on the Western Front against the best Allied fighters including Erich Rudorfer, Walter Krupinski, Willi Reschke and Norbert Hannig.
