In January 1972 Randy Cunningham and his Radar Intercept Officer Willie 'Irish' Driscoll do a flyby of USS Constellation to celebrate their first air victory against a MiG. Flying a 'Fighting Falcons' F-4J the pair achieved five victories becoming the US Navy's only Aces in the Vietnam War.

The Carrier Constellation was close in the tight Gulf of Tonkin, Cunningham wanted to do a victory roll in his Phantom call sign "Showtime 112". As the Carrier wanted to move away fast, Cunningham was told to land immediately so they could exit the Bay.
