Doolittle Tokyo Raiders by Robert Taylor - Remarque suitable for framing

Sold Out

On the 18th April, 1942 a short time after Pearl Harbor 16 B-25's took off from the carrier Hornet in heavy seas. The B-25's had been stripped down to enable them to get off the deck. The target was Tokyo 800 miles away. The raiders managed to reach and bomb Tokyo then fly on to China to crash land.

The shock of the raid on Japan caused the military to try and expand its perimeter further into the central and south Pacific with catastrophic consequences. The prints are signed by Jimmy Doolittle and 13 of the intrepid aircrew.

This is an exceptionally rare remarqued edition, it has three issues:

  • Crease in the upper left hand white border - can be matted out when framed
  • Crease in the inner right border - can be matted out when framed
  • Small less than quarter inch round crease in the ocean area of the print, paper is not broken

Photos of all the above included below.

If you are looking for a Doolittle Tokyo Raiders print to frame, this is excellent value for an exceptionally rare print $1,495 or make me an offer (close)
