B-25 Mitchells crowding the deck of the USS Hornet on a huge gamble to bomb Tokyo. The crew understood this was to be a one-way mission with a low chance of survival. As the deck heaved in fairly heavy seas on by one 16 B-25's took off on this historic mission the Doolittle Tokyo Raid.

This daring mission would strike at the very heart of Japan just four months after the attack on Pearl Harbor, taking the war to Japan. They would understand it was now game on and the sleeping dragon was wide awake.
