"Welcome Respite" RAF fighter pilots rest as their Spitfires are checked and rearmed between sorties during the Battle of Britain. The print comes with a matching numbered cased book "Battle of Britain" which is a compilation of Robert Taylors Battle of Britain paintings reproduced in full color. Also included is a leaflet describing the BoB and the Nationalities of the "Few" who fought in it, 544 of which gave their lives. The leaflet also illustrates Luftwaffe and RAF planes involved in the Battle.
The "Battle of Britain Edition" of which 150 were issued is now sold out. The print is signed by 9 pilots who flew Spitfires during the Battle of Britain and Dame Vera Lynn "The Forces Sweetheart." The print comes with a signed by Robert Taylor matching numbered first edition book "Battle of Britain"
The "Veterans Edition" Artist Proof of which only 50 were issued also long sold out. This set is signed by an additional four pilots including Frank Carey and John "Cats Eyes" Cunningham. Both signed the bookplate in the signed by Robert Taylor and numbered first edition book. This print is also signed by Dame Vera Lynn.
