Return of the Few was issued to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Supermarine Spitfire. It depicts six Spitfires returning over the Coast to their base in England. Below are fishing boat in their new role patrolling the coast and locating downed Aircrew.

The print is signed by four famous Spitfire pilots. Johnnie Johnson the allied top scoring ace on the West. Al Deere the top scoring New Zealand ace, Bob Stanford Tuck who if he had not been shot down by flak over France would have amassed a huge score with 29 by January 1942, and Peter Townsend.
