The RAF was looking for fighters to supplement their own production. Scouring the USA the RAF teamed with North American Aviation and their designer Edgar Schmued to look at the Mustang. The Mustang was still on the drawing board, but North American Aviation got it flying in an incredible four months.

Fitted with the Rolls-Royce legendary Merlin engine the Mustang became a premier fighter, capable of taking on any Luftwaffe fighters. Looking for Trouble illustrates P-51D's of the 352nd Fighter Group heading out from their forward base in Belgium. Fitted with long-range tanks they will make an extended sweep east of the Rhine "Looking for Trouble"
