"Eagle Force" plays tribute to the 240 American volunteer pilots who flew with the RAF during the Battle of Britain. Flying with skill and courage the legend of the "American Eagle" was borne.
In September 1940 some of these pilots formed the first "Eagle Squadron" 71 Squadron made up of American volunteer pilots, the first of three Eagle Squadrons. Many Eagle Squadron pilots became leaders and aces in the RAF and later the USAAF.
The print is signed by three pilots who volunteered to fly with the RAF and later formed into the "Eagle Squadrons" Steve Pisanos, Bill Edwards and James Grey
