Sold Out

Through the Spring and Early Summer of 1944 Allied pilots kept constant pressure on German troops in Nothern France awaiting the invasion. The P-38 Lightning was devastating in a ground attack role. Flying low at tree top height it played havoc with German troop concentrations and supplies.

Coming Over the Estuary depicts P-38 Lightnings returning from a strafing mission over France. Skimming across an estuary on the South coast of England close to the village of Bosham.
