HMS Hood with the battleship Prince of Wales engaged Bismarck in May 1941, attempting to stop Bismarck breaking out into the Atlantic. Hood engaged Bismark with her forward 15" guns. She was hit first by Prinz Eugen, moments later she was hit by a full salvo from Bismark which penetrated her lightly armored deck and exploded in a magazine below.

The Hood blew apart leaving only three survivors, one of those survivors Ted Briggs signed this print. This is a very limited pencil print 55/250 size 24" x 14"
