"Eagle Force" plays tribute to the 240 American volunteer pilots who flew with the RAF during the Battle of Britain. Flying with skill and courage the legend of the "American Eagle" was borne.
In September 1940 some of these pilots formed the first "Eagle Squadron" 71 Squadron made up of American volunteer pilots, the first of three Eagle Squadrons. Many Eagle Squadron pilots became leaders and aces in the RAF and later the USAAF.
The Tribute Proof edition is signed by an additional four American Eagle pilot volunteers, Michael Miluck, Don Nee, Don Ross, Don Blakeslee. The Tribute Proof comes with a matted companion print "Eagle Squadron" signed by Jim Goodson, George Maxwell, Luke Allen, Steve Crow, Bill Slade and John Cambell. In the martting of the companion print are the signatures of Oscar Coen, Carrol "Red" MeColpin and Reade Tilley. The Tribute Proof is signed by a remarkable 16 American Eagle volunteer pilots.
