In May 1941, the brand-new Kriegsmarine Battleship "Bismarck": accompanied by the Battle Cruiser "Prinz Eugen" leave The Norwegian Fjords under the protection of Me109's of JG77.

Three days later in the Battle of Denmark Straits in her first action, Bismarck sinks the British Battleship HMS Hood and badly damaged the Prince of Wales. This bought the wrath of the Royal Navy onto the Battle Group.

On May 27th a short nine days since she started her first voyage the Bismarck was sunk by a Royal Navy battle group. This followed the jamming of Bismarck's rudder by a torpedo strike from a Fleet Air Arm Swordfish flying off the "Ark Royal" carrier.

The Studio Proof Edition set is the very rare eight signature main print (most Studio proofs are five signatures only) and a pencil print of the working drawing for "Voyage into Destiny" The Studio Proof Edition is signed by three Luftwaffe Aces, Walter Schuck 206 victories Knights Cross with Oak leaves, Hugo Dahmer Knights Cross and Ernst Scheufele together with five Bismark crew survivors Otto Peters, Karl Kuhn, Heinz Steeg, Walter Weintz and Hans Hellwig who served on the Bismark.

The Remarqued Edition of Voyage into Destiny was limited to 25. This set includes the remarqued Veterans print signed by Luftwaffe Aces Ernst Scheufele and Hugo Dahmer, together with Otto Peters who served on the Bismark. The companion pencil print "The Fatal Blow" depicting a Swordfish attacking the Bismark is additionally signed by two Swordfish pilots.
