Inbound to Target portrays 'Mick' Martins Lancaster AJ-P with John Hopgood's Lancaster in the background.  The planes are following a canal at low level enroute to the Mohne Dam. They flew at very low level to avoid detection; the pilots were chosen partly for their low-level flying skills. This was essential over the dam where the Lancaster had to be held level at 60 feet to successfully drop the bouncing bomb.
