The "Summer of 44" Portfolio edition was issued with an original drawing by Nicholas Trudgian of Stanislaw Skalski in an RAF Mustang.  Summer of 44 portrays Mark IX Spitfires returning from combat over France flying over a train and railway station in Southern England on their way back to base. The main print is signed by two famous RAF pilots, Pete Brothers and Johnnie Johnson.

The print comes with an original pencil drawing by Nicholas Trudgian of Stanislaw Skalski's RAF Mustang, which is signed by Stanislaw Skalski. Stanislaw Skalski commanded both the 131st and 133rd Polish Wings. A great fighter pilot and leader Stanislaw Skalski finished the war with 24 victories.
