A lone RAF Lancaster of 9 Squadron having been separated from the squadron after losing one engine comes into land at RAF Bardney. The crew exhausted after a tough night mission are relived to touch down after making it back to England.
RAF 9 Squadron worked alongside 617 Squadron and specialized in dropping Barnes Wallis famous 12,000lb "Tallboy" bombs. They were successful in sinking the Tirpitz with the Tallboy.
