"The Height of the Battle" Luftwaffe blitzed London on the night of September 10th leaving the City burning. The following day the RAF plotted the Luftwaffe build up in the Pas de Calais for a day raid, massed Heinkel bombers escorted by over 200 fighters headed for London.  As the bombers approached the London Dockland 60 Spitfires and Hurricanes attacked them.

Leading No 74 "Tiger" Squadron, Sailor Milan the outstanding RAF Battle of Britain fighter pilot had orders to ignore the Luftwaffe fighters and attack the bombers. The print shows Sailor Melan and Harbourne Stephen starting a diving attack on Luftwaffe Heinkel bombers.

The RAAF Edition is signed by I. Bayles, T. Gaze, D. Sheen, P. Watson and is accompanied by a companion print "Targets of Opportunity" signed by R. Gibbes, E. Sly and B. Watson. The Publishers Proof also includes "Gallant Gladiator"
