"Ginger" heading out in a Hurricane on morning patrol, is a tribute to James "Ginger" Lacey the highest scoring pilot during the Battle of Britain. Flying Hurricanes with No 501 Squadron, he destroyed 18 Enemy Aircraft between 10th July and 31st October 1940. James "Ginger" Lacey ended the war with 28 confirmed victories. 

This AP print is one of only six AP's that were signed by five famous RAF Hurricane pilots, Bob Doe, Laurence Thorogood, Dennis David, Roland Beamont and Air Chief Marshall Sir Keith "Bing" Cross.
