The great success of the 56th Fighter Group was in no small part due to the leadership of Colonel Hub Zemke. A fighter pilot and impressive commander who led from the front. Evolving and deploying new tactics, he developed the 56th into an elite fighting corp.

The print portrays Zemke's Wolfpack P-47 Thunderbolts, at high altitude over Germany peeling off to assist a damaged B-17 under attack from Me-109's.

The print is signed by four of the greatest 56th Fighter Group Aces, including Hub Zemke.
