Launch Against Bismarck. In May 1941 in atrocious weather from the Royal Navy Carrier HMS Ark Royal 15 Swordfish biplanes launched to hunt the German Battleship Bismarck. Pressing their attack at very low level against heavy anti aircraft fire one torpedo fatally damaged Bismarck's steering gear. Bismarck was doomed and sunk by a Royal Navy battle group a few days later.
The framed print has a great remarque of a torpedo carrying Swordfish. Included in the matting are replica Fleet Air Arms Wings and a Royal Navy badge.
