After the Battle depicts RAF 611 Squadron pilots return to base in their Mk1X Spitfire’s after a dogfight with Fw190's over France. Speeding home to Kenley over the Southern England countryside.

The Mk1X is considered to be the greatest of all Spitfire marks. The Mk1X was introduced to counter the dominance of the recently introduced Luftwaffe Fw190 nicknamed the "Butcher Bird"

The print is signed by six famous Battle of Britain Spitfire pilots, Johnnie Johnson, Neville Duke, Paddy Barthropp, Harbourne Stephens, Sir Archie Winskill and Alan Wright.

This is a specially commissioned large remarque of a Mk1X Spitfire, both the print and remarque are by Robert Taylor.
