"Return to Rattlesden" B-17's of the 447th Bomb Group with their crews arrived in Rattlesden East Anglia England in late 1943. From their base at Rattlesden the Group flew missions until the end of the war. Missions included submarine pens, naval installations, ports, missile sites, airfields, marshalling yards and industrial complexes in France and Germany.

The Group supported the D-Day landings and the breakout at St. Lo. The double remarque on the main print is of a B-17 and an escorting Mustang. The main print is signed by eight combat crew veterans who flew B-17's with the 447th Bomber Group

The pencil companion print Rattlesden, 1945 depicts the busy base at Rattlesden with B-17's and Mustangs preparing for a raid. The pencil companion print is the same width as the main print and can be easily framed with the main print for a great WWII bomber scene enhanced by the double remarque.
