On May 24th, 1941, in The Battle of the Denmark Straits Bismarck sank HMS Hood. The Royal Navy hunted Bismark with every available resource. Launch Against Bismarck, In May 1941 depicts Swordfish biplane torpedo bombers taking off in atrocious weather.

15 Swordfish launched from the Royal Navy Carrier HMS Ark Royal to hunt the German Battleship Bismarck. Pressing their attack at very low level against heavy anti-aircraft fire one torpedo fatally damaged Bismarck's steering gear.

Forced to go around in circles by a jammed rubber Bismarck was doomed and was sunk by a Royal Navy battle group on May 27th, barely three days after sinking the Hood.
