Dauntless Against a Rising Sun, an iconic and very difficult to find print by William Phillips. Two SBD-3’s (Dauntless) of VS-5, flying from the Yorktown are set besides the dark clouds of war against a Rising Sun. The dawn of a new day as the tide of war in the Pacific is about to changed forever at the Battle of Midway in June 1942.

This is one of the original prints not the anniversary Giclee. This print was additionally remarqued with a Dauntless for the original owner by William Phillips at Tamsen Munger’s gallery in Fresno CA back in the day.
